Ru teaches my daughter Gia piano and voice. His audition preparation methods helped my daughter snag a lead role in her school musical. He is a passionate musician and a gifted pianist with excellent piano technique. We have seen a marked improvement in my daughter’s piano skills.
Ru also has a remarkable ear for harmony, pitch, improvisation, and arranging. I’m a singer myself and for my studio recording, he arranged the piano accompaniment for a very complex Indian classical song by ear. I’ve worked with other pianists and haven’t seen this skill in others.
I highly recommend training with Ru Zhang!

Not only is Ru an incredible artist and vocal performer, but his technical knowledge and teaching style are a perfect fit for Kennedy. His lighthearted and positive presence and his encouraging personality creates a safe space for our daughter to try new genres and make mistakes, which has led to so much growth in her voice. From helping her learn vocal technique and performance details to helping her prepare for auditions, Ru helped her land a lead role in the Mrs Doubtfire 1st National Broadway Tour. We are so thankful and cannot recommend him enough!
